About Revival Academy 101
Learn It. Understand It. Do It.
Revival Academy 101 is the learning side of the Bush & Bench family. It teaches the fundamentals behind electrical, battery, 12V and solar work, so you understand what you're doing rather than just following steps.
Revival Academy 101 also shares short videos on YouTube, TikTok and Facebook. The website brings the lessons together in one place, with written explanations and diagrams you can come back to.
Meet Ruby
Ruby, 35, is the eldest of the Bush family's four daughters and presents Revival Academy 101. She hosts the clips and guides from her green corner of the family shed, with the whiteboards, meters and practice builds close at hand.
Ruby explains and compares tools and products so you can make an informed choice. She doesn't claim to have personally tested them. Where real testing is shown, it's real workshop footage.
Who it's for
- DIYers and hobbyists who want to understand the job before they start.
- Beginners who want electrical ideas explained in plain language.
- Homeowners, campers and off-grid users looking after their own systems.
How lessons are written
Lessons explain the method behind each topic rather than handing out one-size-fits-all numbers. Technical details are checked against manufacturer documentation and applicable Australian requirements.
Safety first
Batteries and electrical systems can cause fires and injuries. Follow your equipment manuals and get a licensed electrician or auto electrician to check work you're unsure about. In Australia, mains (240V) electrical work must be done by a licensed electrician.
How the site makes money
Some lessons may include affiliate links to tools or parts. If you buy through one, the site may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are always disclosed on the page where they appear.
